1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using THE MATTE TRAINER platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This is a legally binding agreement between you and The Matte Trainer regarding your use of our sports card marketplace, grading services, and collection management tools.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease all use of our services. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, with continued use constituting acceptance of the new terms.

2. User Account and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.

  • One account per individual user.
  • Users must be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Grading and Authenticity

THE MATTE TRAINER facilitates third-party grading services. While we strive for absolute accuracy in our internal "Pop Report" data, final grading decisions are made by our certified partners (PSA, CGC, BGS).

"The Matte Trainer does not guarantee specific grades for raw cards submitted through our portal. All grading fees are non-refundable once the card has been shipped to the grading facility."

4. Marketplace Conduct

All sellers must provide high-resolution images and accurate condition descriptions of listed items. Misrepresentation of card condition (e.g., hiding creases or surface wear) is grounds for immediate account suspension.

Buyers are protected by our Escrow service. Funds are only released once the tracking confirms delivery and a 48-hour inspection window has passed without dispute.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on THE MATTE TRAINER, including the layout, logos, "Pop Report" data structures, and the "Slab" design system, are the exclusive property of THE MATTE TRAINER.

Users retain ownership of their individual card photos but grant THE MATTE TRAINER a perpetual, royalty-free license to use those images for platform data, marketing, and promotional purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

THE MATTE TRAINER provides a platform for card enthusiasts. We are not responsible for market fluctuations, shipping delays by third-party carriers, or disagreements between buyers and sellers that fall outside our Escrow protection.

In no event shall THE MATTE TRAINER be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our marketplace or grading services.
